Nude Motorcyclist Pulled over in Ocala, Receives Florida DUI

September 17, 2009

In Ocala this week, a motorcyclist was pulled over because the driver was naked and operating the vehicle erratically. A Marion County deputy spotted him early Tuesday on I-75, and later caught up to him at a red light to pull him over. The driver couldn't explain why he was naked, and didn't recall where he last had been... but finally stated that he had been drinking at Hooters.

When asked whether he had been drinking before taking a ride, the driver admitted that he had. Florida state's legal blood alcohol level must be below .08, and this driver had levels above the limit, grounds for Florida DUI. The breathalyzer text turned out a .178 and a .162 blood alcohol level.

It turned out this was not the driver's first offense. In fact, the nude ride counted as the 5th time the habitual traffic offender was pulled over and charged with DUI in Florida. This man was later released on Tuesday with $20,000 bail.
